Here is my list
of lovely things this weekend and I hope you enjoy reading about them.
Mr B took me out to lunch on Saturday to a cheap and
cheerful cafe called King Ahiram in West End. We both ordered
their small vegetarian platters and I also asked for some chilli on the side.
The food was sensational.
I wore this little Whistles ensemble. It cost $89.01 (yes that is 1 cent on the
end) from asos.com and this included delivery costs from the UK.
I went to see this film and LOVED it so much. I highly recommend it.
I visited the Farmer's Markets on Northey Street. We go to the organic markets every Sunday morning to buy our fruit and vegetables. At the moment our morning juices have included kale. I must admit, I have never cooked with this particular vegetable, however I'm going to give it a go this week.

This photo is of Mr B and I sitting down to enjoy a
meal I had just prepared in a centuries-old monastery kitchen in Tuscany. This photo sits on a shelf in our kitchen and
is meant to help me channel rustic Italian cooking skills. Sadly these skills are yet to materialise
into wonderful meals on our dining room table, but the holiday was fantastic and
it is a lovely memory.
I have also just started reading this book.
I hope your weekend has been enjoyable and have a lovely week ahead.

Oh I love everything here, especially the hummus platter above, I think hummus is my favourite food ever. What a great deal on your lovely little dress from Whistles, it looks so comfy.
ReplyDeleteAre you feeling much better now?
Hi Tabitha, how good is hummus. We still miss the San Amvrosia Health Foods one from Whole Foods in the UK. It was so delicious. Have you tried it? I am definitely on the mend which is good and thank you so much for asking! xxxx
DeleteLovely. kale is also wonderful torn into shreds, sprinkled with olive oil and baked in the oven till crisp. Your dress looks like a great deal and flattering too!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the Kale cooking idea. I will give it a go this week x
DeleteKale with orange segments and a little bit of salt is a quick and tasty salad. I learned that from a friend.
ReplyDeleteHi Tracy, that sounds delicious. I am planning on putting it in a salad tonight. Thanks for the idea x
DeleteAnother great list, Fifi. That vege platter looks the business, so healthy! As for the pink choc bag of shoes: divine! Great bargain with the Whistles dress which is perfect for our summer weather. xx
ReplyDeleteThe platter was so delicious and so cheap. We knew we were in the right place when a group of taxi drivers, police officers and locals starting queuing after we had ordered xx
DeleteI really like the choice of the lovely things this week.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have ever had kale, but would be interested to see how it tatstes. Let us know.
Have a lovely week.

Hi Z, Kale in a vegetable juice is delicious, however I am going to try and use it in a salad tonight, so will let you know. Hope you had a lovely rest last week and have a good half term xxx
DeleteGreat list Fifi. Love your Whistles dress, and what a bargain. I'm sure you'll have it on high rotation this Summer - it looks very comfy.
ReplyDeleteWe love Kale in our house. I used this recipe first for Kale Chips http://mynewroots.blogspot.com.au/2010/07/totally-addictive-kale-crisps.html and it was a good introduction to Kale for the Kids. They love it so much that they yell "Yay - Kale!!" when I put it in something for their dinner, which other family members think in hilarious. That blog I just linked to has fantastic recipes, and a lot of others with Kale.
Loved the book you're reading. I think I might have read it 10 years or so ago, but it was one of those books that was being passed around from person to person as everyone enjoyed it so much. Enjoy - love a good book, and you've chosen a really good one there!
Have a great week xx
Hi Heidi, I love a bargain and generally only buy clothes when they are on sale. Thank you for the recipe link. A friend of mine read the post and texted me this recipe as well, so I will definitely give it a go, as I think Mr B will love them (as he is currently on a detox). Thanks for the tip about the book, I am looking forward to reading it xxx
DeleteOh man I love King Ahiram, their Baklava is to die for! Love that dress too, looks very versatile.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, thanks for your message. I love Baklava so will definitely try this next time, thanks for the tip and glad to hear of another King Ahiram fan.

ReplyDeleteHi TBO, thanks for the message and for now following. I highly recommend Whistles clothing via asos.com They might still sell this dress x
ReplyDeleteThat meal in the top photos looks sensational, any more details as to what it was? Have a good weekend Diane
